Who are we?
Hungarian School Sydney has been welcoming students since 1975. Originally known as Flemington Hungarian School, it has operated under the name Hungarian School Sydney since 2019.
Since 1978, our school has been a member of the Saturday Community Language Schools in New South Wales, providing students with the opportunity to learn Hungarian in a structured educational setting from preschool through to high school.
Our key priorities are to nurture and teach the Hungarian language, preserve and pass on our folk traditions, and draw on the rich heritage of Hungarian cultural values to create engaging, hands-on learning experiences.
HUNGARIAN LANGUAGE
Through play, engaging experiences and a strong sense of community, we keep the Hungarian language alive, helping children enjoy using it and speak it with confidence.
HUNGARIAN CULTURE
Stories, folk songs, traditions and celebrations bring Hungary closer to our children and keep Hungarian culture alive.
COMMUNITY
Friendships, shared experiences and a close-knit community where children can feel at home with the Hungarian language and culture.
EXPERIENCE & GROWTH
Learning through play and creativity, tailored to each age group, so that Hungarian school is more than just learning. It’s a new experience to look forward to every week.
